Sam stuck in the tree.

I took the kids to McDonald's tonight with a friend and her kids. Sam kept asking to go on the play tree, which is completely enclosed and difficult for an average adult to get into, with everyone else. My friend let him out and convinced her daughter, Jena, to help him up the tree stairs. Sam got to the top where he only had two steps left and got really scared so he stopped. And said " the exhaustion is killing me" Then he wouldn't go up or down. He was stuck up there a good 15 minutes. I had to get Jena and her friend to work together to help him down the stairs. The did a really good job too. But it did take a lot of team work on their part to get him out. He was so sad and crying when he finally got out but was very happy to see me when he got to me. And he clung to me for a while after that. It's times like these I feel sorry for Sam because he just want to be a kid like everyone else and have fun but it is a huge physical challenge.
Knowing Sam though, I bet he will still want to go up the next play place we go to.

Hot Hot Hot

I have to say that I have decided that anything over 110 degrees is just way to hot. We've hit between 110 and 115 degrees for 3 or 4 days now and have a couple days of that still to come. Then it's suppose to drop to 106 by Wednesday, I think. One thing about such high temperatures is that it sure makes 103 feel really good. :)

Guess that's Arizona for ya.

The disappearing Blanket

Since it is summer and very hot I use a small fleece blanket at night to sleep. It's small enough that my feet stick out all night which is what I like and it is cool. Each Morning it seems to grow legs and walk off because each night when I ask mike what happened to my blanket he says Heidi took it this morning.
So last night mike tracked down a blanket for me because the past few nights I have been doing with out and steeling his blanket at 3 in the morning. In the middle of the night Joshua came to me after a bathroom break and tried to steal my blanket. He tried to take it right off me. I kept telling him it wasn't his it was mine. After 3 failed attempts He finally went to his bed in search of his blanket.
lol

And yet again this morning my blanket grew legs and walked off. lol

Maybe I should tie it to the bed. :)
